Florida State’s already impressive 2022 recruiting class just got a lot bigger and a whole lot more talented with the acquisition of offensive tackle Julian Armella.

Florida got some welcome news as National Signing Day started winding down as five-star linebacker Shemar James signed with the Gators. He became the first five-star player to commit to Florida under new coach Billy Napier.

Boonville, Mo., defensive end DJ Wesolak landed 50 scholarship offers from schools across the country. The three-star prospect went out and saw many of those schools, but ultimately decided there was no place like home and announced his commitment to the Missouri Tigers.

Rivals250 defensive end Derrick Moore was locked in with Oklahoma before news of Lincoln Riley's sudden departure for USC came to light. After taking official visits to Ole Miss this past week and to Michigan over the weekend, Moore decided to spend his college career at Michigan.

Michigan State signs Coley

Leave it to a former defensive back in head coach Mel Tucker to recognize the skills in an up and comer in Caleb Coley. Maybe one of the more undervalued three-star corners in the nation, Michigan State landed a tough cornerback in the 2022 Georgia prospect.

Pitt nabs Okunlola

Defensive end Samuel Okunlola has decided to commit to Pittsburgh, choosing the Panthers over Virginia and Colorado. Pittsburgh has done an amazing job of developing defensive linemen over the last few years and Okunlola is its next project.

The Hoosiers are in process of a big recruiting day. The class is ranked No. 22 nationally and the 2022 class added four-star IMG Academy defensive tackle Nick James.

Bama lands another on the DL

Four-star DT Khurtiss Perry became yet another big-time defensive line signing for Alabama on Wednesday. Perry joins tackles Jaheim Oatis and Isaiah Hastings along with ends Walter Bob and Jeremiah Alexander.

The biggest shock in recruiting history?

The nation's No. 1 overall recruit has shocked the college football world.

Travis Hunter, who had been committed to Florida State for more than18 months, flipped his commitment to HBCU program Jackson State. The move is one of the biggest surprises in National Signing Day history and is a signature recruiting win for head coach Deion Sanders, a former Florida State Seminoles player.

Denver Harris will wait

The mystery surrounding the nation's No. 2-ranked cornerback will continue at least through Saturday night. Denver Harris, a five-star cornerback from the Houston area, will sign privately this week, according to Sam Khan Jr.

Harris will reveal his decision on Saturday.

In an SEC West vs. East recruiting battle royale, the Kentucky Wildcats were able to sway Alabama four-star safety Ja’Kobi Albert away from the Auburn Tigers.

Maryland is getting another explosive playmaker in Octavian Smith Jr. The four-star athlete out of Burtonsville (Md.) Paint Branch is a former Northwestern commit with plenty of ties to the in-state program.

Michigan flips Rivals100 DB Keon Sabb

Michigan completes the flip: The Wolverines have landed a commitment from Rivals100 DB Keon Sabb. It appeared Sabb would remain locked in with Clemson but that changed when defensive coordinator Brent Venables left Clemson to become the next head coach at Oklahoma. Sabb decommitted soon after Venables left and then conducted a series of meetings with coaches from Michigan, Georgia, LSU and Ohio State. After doing his due diligence, Sabb signed with Michigan.

Amorion Walker, a coveted three-star athlete and longtime Notre Dame commitment, flipped his commitment and signed with Michigan on National Signing Day.

Quency Wiggins headed to LSU

After major coaching changes involving two of his final three teams, Rivals100 defensive end Quency Wiggins is staying home. The nation’s No. 50 overall player picked LSU over Florida and Alabama, giving first-year Tigers coach Brian Kelly a signature hometown victory on the recruiting trail over a pair of rival SEC teams.

Texas flips Rivals100 Terrance Brooks from Ohio State

Terrance Brooks, a Rivals100 cornerback from Little Elm (Texas), flipped his commitment from Ohio State to Texas. He inked with the Longhorns, who over the past week have sealed commitments from former five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers, top-rated offensive tackle Kelvin Banks and Rivals250 lineman Neto Umeozulu. Like Brooks, all of the recent wins for the Horns are homegrown products heading to Austin.

Virginia Tech has signed former UVA commit Brody Meadows. The sudden and surprising announcement by UVA coach Bronco Mendenhall to step down at the end of the season changed everything and new Virginia Tech coach Brent Pry immediately pursued Meadows.

A change of coaches in Baton Rouge proved to be beneficial for the Texas A&M Aggies during the 2022 recruiting cycle. Committed to LSU from April 15 until Dec. 7, Oconee County four-star tight end Jake Johnson reopened his recruiting process and found a new home in College Station.

Maryland busy flippin'

The Terps with another huge flip: Maryland lands Rivals250 LB Jaishawn Barham. Barham announced his commitment to South Carolina on Saturday but rumors were swirling that he was leaning toward picking Maryland on NSD, which he did. And it wasn't the first surprise of the day from Maryland.
