WHAT THE SEMINOLES ARE GETTING

Armella has all the skills to be a four-year starter for Florida State. Seemingly one of the best in his class since he stepped foot on the high school gridiron, Armella has the prototypical size to play tackle or guard at the collegiate level. How head coach Mike Norvell and offensive line coach Alex Atkins bring him along will be interesting to follow.

WHAT MAKES ARMELLA DIFFERENT

Getting nasty in the Florida trenches is an every snap thing for Armella. His mental approach to be the best and dominate defenders is a big addition to FSU’s roster and the offensive line crew. Armella’s desire to improve and win can't be understated.

Because the spotlight has been on him for so long, especially while playing for a high-profile team like St. Thomas Aquinas, Armella is no stranger to working hard, receiving coaching and pushing his abilities forward. His strength is already above the grain. As good as Armella already is, he still has upside to his game that should produce All-ACC honors before his collegiate career is done.

WHY THIS IS BIG FOR FLORIDA STATE

After receiving over 30 offers, the final four for Armella came down to Alabama, Florida, Florida State and LSU. Even though the Hurricanes were not represented in the top four on Nov. 22, with Mario Cristobal moving to Miami at the end of the college football season, keeping Armella away from an ACC opponent is big. Winning a recruiting battle for a five-star against top SEC teams serves as bragging rights for Norvell and his staff.
