Rivals is breaking down each Top 25 recruiting class and we continue here with No. 25 Washington.

WHAT WENT RIGHT ...

Washington closed strong and got two major flips that could help the Huskies in the years to come - both seemingly unexpected in the closing weeks as four-star WR Marcus Harris flipped from Oklahoma and four-star OL John Mills flipped from Texas.

The Huskies also landed the top in-state prospect in four-star linebacker Zaydrius Rainey-Sale from Spanaway (Wash.) Bethel School and another in-state four-star linebacker in Jonathan Epperson.

Washington did a great job across the board but especially on offense where it got two quarterbacks, two different-style running backs and a plethora of wide receivers and massive offensive linemen to win up front.

WHAT WENT WRONG ...

Despite all the successes Washington had in this recruiting class, there were two late flips that really threw a wrench in the works and it was the Huskies’ rival to the South that got both of those players.

Four-star tight end Vander Ploog, who was super productive at Fullerton (Calif.) Troy and is more of a big receiver than anything, and four-star Zac Stascausky, the top prospect in the state of Oregon, both flipped to the Ducks in the closing weeks and days.

PARTING PREDICTION

When Arizona quarterback Noah Fifita was in high school, he made some incredible, mind-bending plays to keep things alive or to find his favorite target, Tetairoa McMillan, downfield and he just had a superstar quality to his game.

High three-star quarterback Treston McMillan is the same way and he will be like Fifita only in the Pacific Northwest. The Mililani, Hawaii standout can sit in the pocket and pick apart defenses. He can also run around and make things happen and just when it looks like the play is over, McMillan does something special.

Fifita has had a great career in the desert. In Seattle, McMillan could do the same.
