WHAT WENT RIGHT ...
Michigan flipping five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood away from LSU was the biggest story of the recruiting cycle. It brought the NIL conversation to the forefront and showed the Wolverines are ready to act like a blueblood in that regard. Signing Underwood could completely change the tenure of coach Sherrone Moore at Michigan. It should also be noted that the Wolverines hit their goal of signing the best prospects in Michigan after landing the top four players in the state.
WHAT WENT WRONG ...
Michigan lost a commitment from four-star tight end Andrew Olesh to Big Ten foe Penn State. Olesh committed to Michigan in July but he kept his options open by taking trips to other programs throughout the fall. He made a decision in the end between Michigan, Oregon and Penn State.
PARTING PREDICTION
This class will produce multiple first-round NFL Draft picks. With all the talk about Underwood, it's become overlooked that there is some other legit high-end talent in the class. Five-star defensive lineman Nathaniel Marshall, five-star linebacker Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng and high four-star offensive tackle Andrew Babalola all have the potential to be high selections in a future draft.
