The Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge presented by adidas was more than a day of high-level on-field action. There was plenty of prospect interaction. Interviews were conducted and conversations were had. And while the few uncommitted prospects from the state of Florida were among the hardest to read, Rivals.com gives it a shot below.

Situation: Briggs isn’t leaving the state. That much is clear. He recently visited Florida State, but the feeling there was that Miami is the team to beat. Briggs has stated that Florida, FSU and the Hurricanes lead the way when it comes to his recruitment, but he seems to have a particular shine for UM. Couple that with the program’s current momentum in the state, and betting on Mark Richt is the smart play.

Prediction: Miami

Situation: Campbell intends to announce a decision in July. And while he seemed destined for Florida for some time, there’s reason to think Miami is trending in the right direction for his commitment. Would it shock anyone if he landed in Gainesville? Of course not, but the odds are certainly evening up in recent weeks.

Prediction: Miami

Situation: Sherwood once looked destined for Miami, but that seems less certain these days. The Hurricanes could still land his commitment. And, to a lesser extent, the other in-state schools also have a fighting chance. Sherwood has always said he’d prefer to stay in state, but Auburn has made a strong play in recent weeks. The Tigers have a real chance of stealing the safety and things are trending in their favor recently.

Prediction: Auburn

Situation: Reese doesn’t say much, so projecting his landing spot is incredibly difficult. Miami, Michigan and Florida are all heavily involved. Reese is well-versed in using a lot of words to say very little and seems genuinely undecided. It’s why offering a guess on his commitment is a real shot in the dark. It’s hard to bet against Miami in recruiting right now, though. Reese is set to visit Michigan over the weekend, so there’s no telling what may take place there.

Prediction: Miami … I think … probably. Maybe Michigan?

Situation: Describing this one as “tough” doesn’t do it justice. Florida doesn’t seem as interested in Watt as it once was and Georgia seems to be hesitant as well. Kentucky and West Virginia are options. As are a number of other schools. Watt is caught between positions in a way. He has a safety’s build, but looked good playing wide receiver at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge. The bottom line is, a host of schools will likely come calling in the fall or winter and a number of them will be too late. Watt’s recruitment will have an interesting home stretch. There’s a decent chance he lands at a program that has yet to offer.

Prediction: Total chaos
