This week featured the release of the new Rivals100 and Rivals250 for the class of 2019, which is now firmly in the spotlight. The release saw plenty of major moves, but not all prospects who moved up and earned their coveted fourth star made the cut for the 250.

Today we take a look at five prospects who are on the verge of breaking into the Rivals250, as well as identify the 28 total players who earned a fourth star this rankings update.

The great grandson of former legendary coach Bear Bryant, Tyson has come into his own after an excellent junior season. He holds an offer from Alabama, as well as Kentucky, Notre Dame and several other major programs. He is the highest-ranked pro-style quarterback not in the Rivals250 and could change that with a strong showing on the spring camp circuit.

Another quarterback who saw his stock rise after his final junior film came out, Conover shot up in the position rankings at dual-threat quarterback and just narrowly missed making it into the Rivals250. Programs like Alabama, Arizona, Arizona State and South Carolina have all offered the prospect out of perennial powerhouse program Chandler High, and his list is only likely to continue to grow as the offseason moves along.

The highest-ranked running back who didn’t make the cut for the Rivals250, Robinson is the latest explosive playmaker out of St. John’s College High. He lists offers from programs from all over the country, including Michigan, Nebraska and Arizona. Robinson is already one of the top players in the DMV area and will be one to watch this spring.

Wilkins recruitment has exploded over the past six weeks, with programs like Oklahoma, Texas and Tennessee joining his offer list. Initially ignored by the last staff at Arkansas, Wilkins has become a priority for new Hawgs head man Chad Morris. Wilkins turned in a good showing at the Army Combine in January, only helping his stock and vaulting him to just outside of the Rivals250. He will have every opportunity continue his ascent up the rankings this offseason with strong showings against quality competition.

The cornerback prospect from perennial Georgia power North Gwinnett, Burrell is another player who saw his recruitment take off in January, including collected seven offers in one day. Notre Dame, USC, Michigan, Alabama and several others have come calling for Burrell, who had an excellent junior season. He narrowly missed making the Rivals250 but will be in the mix for a move up before the 2019 cycle is over.
