The offseason is in full swing as the spring camp circuit begins to heat up and college programs expand recruiting boards. With the offseason already having some camps and events under its belt, prospects across the country have risen to national status with more on the way.
Here are the five best prospects I’ve had the chance to see so far this offseason.

There’s so much to like about the skill set McClary brings to the table. At a camp in New Jersey a few weeks ago, McClary was outstanding in coverage, locking down receivers and tight ends throughout the one-on-one sessions. He has an impressive frame already and has room to add more muscle mass as he matures. What makes him unique right now is his speed in space for a player that size. I expect him to be a stock riser as college coaches get a better look at him throughout the spring and summer.

Dorilas could play on either side of the ball at the college level but it looks more likely that he’ll play in the secondary. His long arms and above average speed helped him blanket receivers, especially on deep routes. Dorilas does a good job playing physically with receivers and he has a knack for taking the ball away if he can get his hands on it.

Reddick was really impressive over the weekend at the Team Flex 7-on-7. This was his first in-person evaluation and he exceeded expectations. He can play in space and cover fairly well but he isn’t exactly built like a typical long, angular edge rusher. It was really impressive to see how well he moved in space for a player that size and once more college coaches get a look at him it would not be surprising to see him get more offers.

It’s been awhile since our last in-person evaluation of Williams and he’s done a really nice job filling out his lean frame. Every bit the 6-foot-4 he is listed with a huge wingspan, Williams was a real problem for quarterbacks when they tried to throw his way. He did a nice job getting his hands on the ball at times, but he really showed off how physical he can be with his newly acquired strength. Williams' best football is definitely still ahead of him, but he seems to be on the right track.

Expectations are always high for Van Buren and he lived up to it this past weekend. He’s an excellent thrower who can be very accurate at times, even in blustery weather like it was this past weekend. Van Buren does a great job pushing the ball downfield and he has the ability to improvise once forced outside the pocket. Delivering the ball accurately and on time while on the run is one of Van Buren’s best attributes.
