PRO-STYLE QUARTERBACK

CLASS OF 2017 PRO-STYLE QUARTERBACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Myles Brennan, Bay St. Louis (Miss.) St. Stanislaus (Up 4 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Jake Allen, Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas (Down 6 spots)

COMMENTS: Five-star Hunter Johnson has been dethroned atop the pro-style quarterback rankings for the first time in the 2017 class. Stanford commit Davis Mills now takes over at No. 1 after his big senior season where he has led his team to the Georgia state title game. Brennan just misses out on the top 10 after earning his fourth star this cycle, while Allen and Florida State commit Bailey Hockman both drop from the ranks of four-stars.

DUAL-THREAT QUARTERBACK

CLASS OF 2017 DUAL-THREAT QUARTERBACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Malik Cunningham, Montgomery (Ala.) Park Crossing (Up 9 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Lowell Narcisse, St. James, La. (Down 5 spots)

COMMENTS: Texas A&M commit Kellen Mond made the big jump to No. 1 in this ranking after earning his fifth star. He unseated Ohio State commit Tate Martell, who now slides down into the second position on the list. Three new four-stars take spots in the top 12 and they are Miami commit N’Kosi Perry, Florida State commit James Blackman and Cunningham, a Louisville commit.

ALL-PURPOSE BACK

CLASS OF 2017 ALL-PURPOSE BACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Christian Beal, Winston-Salem (N.C.) East Forsyth (Debuts at No. 9)

NOTABLE DROPPER: None

COMMENTS: It was a pretty uneventful update for the all-purpose back position. The top seven looks exactly the way it did before the season, with a player moving out to another position accounting for the first change on the list. Beal, a Wake Forest commit, is the first new name after he sees his rating increase. West Virginia commit Tevin Bush rounds out the list at No. 10.

RUNNING BACK

CLASS OF 2017 RUNNING BACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Jonathan Taylor, Salem, N.J. (Up 25 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Adarius Lemons, Clearwater, Fla. (Down 11 spots)

COMMENTS: Lemons drop and former Iowa commit Eno Benjamin’s slight rise account for the only changes in the top 10, where No. 1 overall in the class Najee Harris leads the list. Washington commit Connor Weddington just misses the top 10 after a big bump, while Taylor, a Wisconsin commit, leads the group of new four-stars at the position.

FULLBACK

CLASS OF 2017 FULLBACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Alonzo Booth, Columbus (Ohio) DeSales (Debuts at No. 2)

NOTABLE DROPPER: None

COMMENTS: LSU commit Tory Carter remains No. 1 in this ranking after receiving a bump in his rating. He is now followed by Booth, who makes his debut after a big senior season that has drawn multiple new offers. Former Michigan commit Chase Lassater rounds out the top five as he makes his debut in the ranking.

WIDE RECEIVER

CLASS OF 2017 WIDE RECEIVER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Jordan Murphy, Hattiesburg, Miss. (Up 17 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Taariq Johnson, Buena Park, Calif. (Down 14 spots)

COMMENTS: Former No. 1 Trevon Grimes slips down to the five-spot in this ranking, with fellow Sunshine State native Jerry Jeudy ascending to the top spot on the list. Clemson commit Tee Higgins cracks the top five after earning his fifth star. He takes over the No. 4 spot on the list, which was previously occupied by Alabama native Nico Collins, who lost his fifth star.

TIGHT END

CLASS OF 2017 TIGHT END RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Kemari Averett, Atlanta (Ga.) Grady (Up 16 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Erik Krommenhoek, Danville (Calif.) Monte Vista (Down 1 spot)

COMMENTS: The top 13 remain in the exactly the same order as they entered the season, with the first change on the list coming at No. 14 where Averett, a Louisville commit, lands after making a big jump. The rest of the list also remains fairly static until the end, where the ranking grows to a top 35 and includes new names such as Arizona commit Bryce Wolma.

OFFENSIVE TACKLE

CLASS OF 2017 OFFENSIVE TACKLE RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Kadeem Telfort, Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington (Up 11 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Tyler Beach, Port Washington, Wisc. (Down 15 spots)

COMMENTS: There is very little change at the top of the list, where Florida native Tedarrell Slaton’s drop from No. 9 to No. 17 accounts for the only difference from the pre-season list. Further down the list, Florida commit Telfort leads a group of players on the rise, which also includes new four-star Riley Locklear, a Tennessee commit.

OFFENSIVE GUARD

CLASS OF 2017 OFFENSIVE GUARD RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Josh Fedd-Jackson, Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph’s (Up 3 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Will Farrar, Richmond (Tex.) Travis (Down 1 spot)

COMMENTS: Position moves accounted for the bulk of the changes in the top half of this ranking. Texas natives Jack Anderson and Wes Harris move over from the center position and take up spots 7 and 9, respectively, in this ranking. The rest of the ranking stays pretty much intact, with Ohio State commit and the position’s lone five-star, Wyatt Davis, remaining No. 1 overall.

CENTER

CLASS OF 2017 CENTER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Sam Gerak, Avon, Ohio (Debuts at No. 10)

NOTABLE DROPPER: None

COMMENTS: With two of the top four from the previous release of this ranking moving to other positions, USC commit Brett Neilon was able to ascend to the No. 2 spot in the ranking behind IMG Academy’s Cesar Ruiz, who retains the top spot. The departures also made way for two new additions to the list, including Gerak, a Northwestern commit who saw his stock increase in this update.

WEAKSIDE DEFENSIVE END

CLASS OF 2017 WEAKSIDE DEFENSIVE END RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: K’Lavon Chaisson, Houston (Tex.) North Shore (Up 14 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Robert Beal, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy (Down 6 spots)

COMMENTS: The shuffle at the top of this ranking continues, with five-star Josh Kaindoh re-assuming the No. 1 spot after losing the title for a cycle. Three players ranked in the top 12 dropped in Rivals Rating, but seven of the next 20 spots on the list are taken over by prospects moving up, including Chaisson and Texas commit Taquon Graham, who makes the top 20.

STRONGSIDE DEFENSIVE END

CLASS OF 2017 STRONGSIDE DEFENSIVE END

NOTABLE RISER: Yetur Matos, Fredericksburg (Va.) Chancellor (Up 4 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Malik Herring, Forsyth (Ga.) Mary Persons (Down 4 spots)

COMMENTS: Matos, a Penn State commit, lands at No. 6 after his rise, but the biggest jump in the top 10 came from Nebraska commit Robert Porcher, who came from all the way outside the ranking after earning his fourth star. Directly behind Porcher at No. 11 is another brand new four-star making his debut on the list in Texas A&M commit Jayden Peevy. Iowa commit A.J. Epenesa remains No. 1 in the ranking heading into the final cycle.

DEFENSIVE TACKLE

CLASS OF 2017 DEFENSIVE TACKLE RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Marlon Tuipulotu, Independence (Ore.) Central (Up 8 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Jordon Riley, Durham (N.C.) Riverside (Down 6 spots)

COMMENTS: Georgia native Aubrey Solomon cracks the top 3 after earning his fifth star in this update. His one-spot jump and Ohio State commit Haskell Garrett’s one-spot jump to No. 6 account for the only changes in the top 10. Tuipolotu, an Oregon commit, jumps to No. 12 after his bump, while Wisconsin commit Aaron Vopal lands at No. 23 after coming over from defensive tackle and seeing his Rivals Rating increase.

INSIDE LINEBACKER

CLASS OF 2017 INSIDE LINEBACKER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Jordan Anthony, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy (Up 2 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: David Adams, Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic (Down 4 spots)

COMMENTS: Anthony takes over the top spot in the ranking after picking up his fifth star in this update and former No. 1 Nate McBride concurrently moving to another position. Combined with the Adams drop, room was made for new names in the top five and one was claimed by Texas A&M commit Anthony Hines. Penn State commit Dylan Rivers and Houston commit Mohammed Sanogo get bumped to four-stars and now reside in the top 15.

OUTSIDE LINEBACKER

CLASS OF 2017 OUTSIDE LINEBACKER RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Kenneth Murray, Missouri City (Tex.) Elkins (Up 17 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Amaud Willis-Dalton, Cypress (Tex.) Ranch (Down 22 spots)

COMMENTS: Nate McBride and Alabama commit Dylan Moses move into this ranking from other positions, taking up spots in the top five. Five-star Ohio State commit Baron Browning, however, remains No. 1, while Georgia commit Jaden Hunter and New Jersey native Drew Singleton retain their spots in the top five. The rankings expands by 10 to include 60 total players, with Tennessee commit Jaquan Henderson among those debuting.

CORNERBACK

CLASS OF 2017 CORNERBACK RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Kary Vincent, Port Arthur (Tex.) Memorial (Up 6 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Jermani Brown, Midlothian, Va. (Down 8 spots)

COMMENTS: Despite being 70 prospects deep, the cornerback position saw relatively few moves in this update. The one new name in the top 10 is Florida commit Elijah Blades, who got a six-spot bump and lands at No. 7 on the list. Further down the list, a pair of Texas natives in Saiid Adebo and Josh Thompson debut in the ranking at Nos. 30 and 34 respectively after earning their fourth stars.

SAFETY

CLASS OF 2017 SAFETY RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Bubba Bolden, Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman (Up 9 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Davondre Robinson, Santee (S.C.) Lake Marion (Down 36 spots)

COMMENTS: LSU commit Jacoby Stevens earned his fifth star in this update, but remains No. 2 behind fellow five-star Jeffrey Okudah. Bolden gets a bump for the second straight update and now resides securely in the top 10 at No. 6. Overall the position sees a lot of positive movement, including a pair of new four-stars in Alabama commit Kyriq McDonald and Mississippi State commit Kaleb Oliver, who both move into the top 30.

ATHLETE

CLASS OF 2017 ATHLETE RANKINGS

NOTABLE RISER: Isaiah Pola-Mao, Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe (Up 9 spots)

NOTABLE DROPPER: Bruce Judson, Cocoa, Fla. (Down 7 spots)

COMMENTS: With Dylan Moses moved to outside linebacker, Ohio State commit Brendon White takes over as the new No. 1 in this position ranking. Pola-Mao slides in at No. 3 after his big jump into the Rivals100. The ranking saw the usual tide of prospects moving in and out, but among those who stayed, Ohio native Lynn Bowden and Notre Dame commit Elijah Hicks both saw slight bumps that earned them spots in the top 20.
