MORE RCS ATLANTA: Prospects that earned their stripes | Simmons Awards | Five hot teams

MARIETTA, Ga. - The Rivals Camp Series presented by adidas swept through Atlanta over the weekend. Here are eight prospects who were a little unknown coming into the camp but are now on the radar.

Blaine McAllister

Already ranked as one of the top quarterbacks in the state of Georgia, it’s not as if McAllister is an unknown, but it comes as a surprise that more Power Five programs have yet to join his list. McAllister holds offers from NC State, Memphis, Tulane and several others. But with his size, impressive arm and athleticism, it wouldn’t be shocking to see several more programs come calling after getting a chance to watch him throw this spring and summer.

Amaad Foston

Folston was in a strong running back group, but continued to shine throughout the event. He passed the eye test, showed some agility in the cat-and-mouse drill and then showed a nice burst throughout the camp. FAU and South Carolina have recently offered, and more will as they find out about the 2021 running back in the coming months.

Rodenmaker is a three-star prospect, and he does have offers, but his performance Friday night put him in the discussion as one of the top guys there. He was throwing the ball on time, he showed good touch and he is a quarterback who could see his stock rise in the coming months. At 6-3, 190 pounds and knowing the game the way he does, as a coach’s son, he could be a steal for someone.

Baron Hopson

Hopson is known by some in South Georgia, and he has a nice offer list early on, but the 2021 linebacker created a buzz Friday night with his speed and quickness. He may be on the smaller size at 5-foot-10, 213 pounds, but he played fast, was strong in coverage and was one of the top linebackers at the camp. Georgia Tech, Michigan and Nebraska are among a few others have offered.

White was on his home turf, and he is already highly thought of with offers and stars, but he was one of the more talked about receivers throughout the night by the staff on the field. He is a longer wideout, but he was making quick cuts and showing good agility for his size. White has a 74.5-inch wingspan and a big catch radius. He had a strong showing Friday night.

Myles Morris

A class of 2022 prospect, Morris looked like he belonged on Friday. He compared favorably to a number of older prospects and showed why he has a chance to land at a major FBS program. The freshman already has the size and arm-strength to play at the college level and flashed some impressive touch at times as well. Arkansas is his lone major college offer thus far, but that should change in the year ahead.

Addison Nichols
Addison Nichols

They always say the defensive line has the advantage in the camp setting, but Nichols, only a freshman, won much more than he lost against guys one and two years older than him. The 2022 offensive tackle was impressive. His offer list is going to grow in the coming months with his size, strength and potential at his premium position. There was a strong group of freshmen participating Friday, and Nichols was among the best.

Zaire Thornton
Zaire Thornton

Thornton has a few early offers from Toledo and Western Michigan but isn’t yet ranked in the Rivals.com rankings. That might change soon as Thornton put on an impressive performance, showing his speed and route-running ability while impressing the event’s coaches. Thornton still needs to add some weight to his frame to deal with more physical defensive backs, but he helped his stock with his showing on Friday night.
