Five-star prospects are rare in each recruiting class and, as we know, some pan out and some don’t. This week and next we will delve into the five-stars still playing in college football and grade how they’ve been doing. Today, we continue with the wide receivers, tight ends and a couple of athletes.

DEMETRIUS ROBERTSON - Georgia
Robertson started off on fire at Cal but was then slowed by injury and he hasn’t been very effective since his transfer to Georgia. What looked like a three-and-out career has fizzled.

Vaughns has had a solid career at USC, although it hasn’t been a five-star one.

TREVON GRIMES - Florida
Grimes started at Ohio State, but went back home to Florida for family reasons. He has been solid for the Gators but he’s never broken out.

AMON-RA ST. BROWN - USC
St. Brown has quietly been very good for USC and had over 1,000 yards last year, but he’s still fallen short of expectations.

JUSTYN ROSS - Clemson
Ross was amazing his first two seasons before a neck issue shut him down and his future is unknown. But when playing he’s been a star.

JUSTIN SHORTER - Florida
After failing at Penn State, Shorter has looked better in Gainesville this season, but is far from playing like a five-star.

TERRACE MARSHALL JR. - LSU
Marshall had his breakout season last year and has been exceptional this year as well.

MARK POPE - Miami
Pope hasn’t broken out yet and has been a bit of a disappointment.

Kendrick has moved to cornerback and is one of the best in the nation now.

Despite his injury this year, Waddle has lived up to his five-star billing as a receiver and return man.

JADON HASELWOOD - Oklahoma
Haselwood started off promising but injury has slowed him and he hasn’t made the impact expected.

GEORGE PICKENS - Georgia
Pickens has been the best wide receiver for UGA from the get go and is living up to his potential.

Wease is having a very good season this year and is on his way to living up to his potential.

Bridges hasn’t done much and has missed this season due to suspension, so he’s been a massive disappointment.
