Holidays are always a big time for commitments. Thanksgiving was no different. Here is a look at five of the biggest pledges on Thursday as we rank their importance.

1. JAMARION MILLER - Alabama
The four-star running back from Tyler (Texas) Legacy committed to Texas in the summer and stayed with his pledge through the Longhorns’ difficult season. But over the last few weeks it became clear this was going to be a complete battle with Alabama until the end.
Some believed Texas would be able to keep him and hold off the Crimson Tide but it was not meant to be as Miller flipped. Miller had a huge senior season. He rushed for more than 1,300 yards with 13 touchdowns and added six receiving scores to lead his team.

2. JAYLON GUILBEAU - Texas
Guilbeau has flipped back and it’s big news for Texas. The four-star cornerback from Port Arthur (Texas) Port Arthur Memorial first committed to the Longhorns but decided to back off that pledge and reopen his recruitment. TCU then won out for him and it looked like the Horned Frogs scored a major win especially on defense.
But when coach Gary Patterson was let go, the four-star reopened things and now it's back to where it all started with the Longhorns.

3. KAYDIN POPE - Mississippi State
From small-town Savannah (Tenn.) Hardin County, Pope had a massive senior season with 1,105 yards and 17 touchdowns as he averaged more than 28 yards per catch. That’s amazing production and the high three-star receiver could be a serious weapon in coach Mike Leach’s offense at Mississippi State. Pope is fast, elusive and a big-time playmaker who can stretch the field and run away from defenders. Starkville could be a perfect situation for him.

4. WADE WOODAZ - Clemson
Whether he can be a big safety or come down and play linebacker, Woodaz has position versatility and he’s someone who can plug and play around the defense. Recruiting for the three-star from Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit has picked up dramatically this season and once Clemson offered and he visited, it became clear the Tigers would be tough to beat.
Woodaz can drop back in coverage, read offenses well, cover sideline to sideline and his length is a huge attribute on defense.

5. ZAVION THOMAS - Mississippi State
An offensive-minded coach like Mike Leach should be able to get Thomas the ball in a variety of ways and that’s why he could be a tremendous asset in Mississippi State’s offense. Thomas is best in the slot using his speed to create mismatch problems against nickel corners or linebackers.
The high three-star wide receiver can also be utilized out of the backfield, in Wildcat formations, in motion and in other ways. Thomas can stretch the field and run by defenders and should catch a ton of passes in the Bulldogs’ attack.
