TWO-HEADED MONSTER: Julian Fleming and EJ Williams

Team Savage may have the top two receivers this week on their team in Julian Fleming and EJ Williams. Fleming, a future Buckeye, looks like the most college-ready wideout in this event. His size, route running, speed and ball skills are all on an elite level. Williams has come out and really made his mark too. He is long, lean and slippery on the outside. He has a great catch radius, and the Clemson signee may have opened some eyes out there. Fleming is working a lot in the slot, and Williams on the outside, so the defensive backs on Team Pressure better be aware of this duo come Thursday evening.

MR. CONSISTENCY - Demorie Tate

A Florida State signee, Tate was impressive for a third consecutive day. And while he had a few head-turning interceptions, the fact that he’s given up few significant completions that lands him this award. Tate looks to be a complete cornerback, as he boasts elite length with good speed and instincts. On Tuesday, he won a handful of head-to-head reps with UGA commit Marcus Rosemy, which is no easy task. It’s hard to find a knock on Tate, who has looked as steady as prospects come this week.

MR. LOCKDOWN - Jaylon Jones

Has there been a more consistent defensive back out here this week? Everyone that sees Jaylon Jones day after day is raving about his ability to cover at his size.

Is he a corner? Is he a free safety? That doesn’t matter. The Texas A&M signee has great length, he located the ball well and he has been tough to separate from all week. He has broken up numerous passes and has forced the quarterbacks to eat the ball a time or two as well due to his coverage. He’s one that could make an early impact in College Station.

ENERGIZER BUNNY - Jalen Carter

Jalen Carter never stops moving. He’s been one of the most active players on either roster. In addition to his work along the defensive line, the four-star prospect also worked out at tight end and spent Tuesday afternoon making plays on both sides of the ball, showcasing violent hands on defense and catching a touchdown or two on offense. The Georgia signee is an elite athlete that will bring versatility to the Bulldogs’ defense.

MIGHTY MOUSE - Andre Seldon

Andre Seldon may be on the smaller side, but the Michigan signee playing big on this stage this week. He had multiple interceptions on day three and stayed on the hip of some of the best receivers in the country. He flashes great quickness, the ability to turn and run and the physicality it takes to match up out here. Don’t overlook this one despite his measurable s not being what some other top defensive backs’ are.

WAKING GIANT - Jaquelin Roy

Jaquelin Roy has been solid the first couple of days, but on Day 3, he stepped up and was one of the top overall performers. He not only won reps with strength, but he worked a swim move and spin move in as well. He played with good pad level and was one of the more consistent players Tuesday. The LSU signee had made some noise on Day 1 and 2, but on Day 3, he took it to another level.
