More than half of the 2021 prospects rated four stars or higher are currently committed to a college program and many of those commitments have come since the start of April. This uptick in spring commitments from previous years is likely to be mirrored by a higher percentage of decommitments when the NCAA re-opens recruiting and allows campus visits to take place.

With that in mind, we look at five prospects to watch from the South Central Region who are potential flip candidates.

QUAYDARIUS DAVIS

Quaydarius Davis made one of the biggest splashes of the offseason in May when he committed to USC on May 1. Davis, the No. 4 wide receiver in the country, is part of a Texas three-step committed to the Trojans along with fellow four-star Brandon Campbell and three-star tight end Lake McRee. Both Davis and McRee were -- at one time -- committed to Texas.

USC has identified Texas as a major recruiting territory with the new additions to its staff, including former Longhorns assistant Craig Naivar, who was on Tom Herman's staff a year ago at this time. Once visits resume, however, Davis is one to watch. He has been committed to three schools to date and USC does not have proximity to home working in its favor.

Will Texas circle back to the Rivals100 talent or could other schools make a run?

DAVID ABIARA

David Abiara has been a prospect that's been rumored to still be in communication with other schools not named Notre Dame. The three-star defensive end from Mansfield (Texas) Legacy committed to the Irish early on this spring and quite quickly after landing an offer.

Prior to that, he toured through the Sooner State to visit both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Since committing, the Sooners have continued to push for the North Texas pass-rusher while Texas has put an offer on the table. All eyes are on Abiara and what he'll wind up doing next.

KAINE WILLIAMS

Williams recently popped to Alabama and was a top target for the Crimson Tide's defensive staff, namely defensive coordinator and Louisiana-area recruiter Pete Golding. The four-star safety was also very high on LSU and Texas A&M before committing and had flirted with the idea of making a decision on multiple occasions before he settled on Alabama.

At one time, LSU was trending for Williams. So was Texas A&M. Florida State was actively trying to get the New Orleans native on campus in the spring. In other words, we'll see what fall visits brings on this front.

JERAND BRADLEY

Bradley was one of the first signature dominos to fall into place for Texas Tech this spring before the Red Raiders went on an impressive run of in-state commitments back in April. The 6-foot-5, 200-pound wideout landed offers from Baylor, Minnesota and South Carolina after committing to Tech, and while he remains solid to his pledge, he is still conversing with coaches from other schools.

Bradley recently transferred from Plano John Paul II to DeSoto High where all eyes will be on the talented wide receiver in the fall.

JAYDON WILLIAMS

Another notable spring commitment from the Lone Star State was Williams, a three-star outside linebacker that converted from wide receiver to the defensive side of the ball midway through his junior campaign and began piling up offers as an edge-defender this spring.

Williams was giving strong consideration to not only Arizona State, but Texas, Kansas and SMU before giving his commitment. Oklahoma offered the week he made his decision. Like others, distance from the Dallas area could become a factor if and when visits resume this fall.
