Rivals250 running back Yasin Willis has flipped his commitment from Pittsburgh to Syracuse. The Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph's Regional star had been committed to Pittsburgh since July.

Willis took an official visit to Syracuse this weekend and felt like an immediate fit.

"I was surrounded the whole weekend with guys like me and from where I come from," Willis said. "With guys like that, who have a better understanding of what's going on, I felt comfortable. Coach Fran made it feel like it was home."

Willis is very excited for what the offense will look like next season.

"They have a plan and it's something great and I want to be a part of that," he said. "Coach Fran came in and is changing things immediately and I want to be right there beside him.

"They've got something good going with me and LeQuint (Allen) next year," said Willis. "That one-two punch is going to be different. Coach Fran said the run game is going to be heavy in the game plan but he's also going to bring in receivers who can get the job done."

Even though he is Syracuse's newest commitment, Willis is already working hard to recruit additional playmakers for Syracuse.

"I want KJ Bolden," Willis said. "I want Marcellus Barnes. He's a dog. I spent most of my weekend with him and we built a great bond. We talked a lot over the weekend and got a better understanding of all the guys and where they come from. I feel like we have a great plan with each other."

Willis, an early enrollee, also explained that he was thankful for the help of Latish Kinsler during his recruiting process.

Willis is currently ranked No. 191 in the Rivals250, which makes him the top ranked player in New Jersey.
