IN HIS OWN WORDS...

"I'm going to sit down and explore my options this weekend," Campbell said. "As of right now, I don't know what schools I'm going to look closely at.

"I'm going to try to find where it will be best for me to be at," he said. "It was a family decision."

RIVALS' REACTION...

Campbell's decommitment doesn't come as much of a surprise. Venables was his lead recruiter and he is very close with fellow New Jersey native and former Clemson commit Keon Sabb. Campbell will be looking at a number of schools in the next few days but was hesitant to single any out. Penn State, Rutgers, Michigan, Texas A&M, Ohio State, and Georgia are a few to keep an eye on. The first five have very strong ties to Campbell and the southern New Jersey area he calls home and Georgia has done a fantastic job recruiting IMG Academy. The Bulldogs are in good position to sign a few of his teammates at the Florida powerhouse. It will be interesting to see if Oklahoma pursues Campbell now that he has officially opened up his recruitment. There is obviously a great relationship there with Venables being the main reason he committed to Clemson in the first place.
