Oklahoma continues to roll on the recruiting trail. This time, the Sooners have added a commitment from four-star Missouri City (Texas) Hightower wide receiver Zion Kearney.
Kearney announced his pledge to the Sooners over a host of offers from programs all over the nation. Oklahoma beat out Arkansas, Houston, LSU, and Texas A&M for the blue chip pass catcher out of the Greater Houston Area.
The four-star emerged as a coveted prospect in the region and backed that up with a strong junior campaign. He totaled 765 yards and eight touchdowns on 39 receptions last fall.
Kearney is the latest addition during Oklahoma's hot streak on the trail. He is the fifth prospect to commit to Brent Venables and the Sooners in the month of April. Four-star safety Jaydan Hardy and four-star offensive lineman Isaiah Autry announced last week.
Rivals ranks Zion Kearney as a 5.9 four-star prospect and the No. 128 overall recruit in the 2024 cycle. He is the No. 20 player in Texas and No. 16 wide receiver for his class.
