Ayden Hector was one of three Sammamish (Wash.) Eastside Catholic standouts that visited Notre Dame last weekend and he had an excellent time.
The Irish have not offered yet but the 2020 athlete is hopeful things could continue to develop through his sophomore season and especially into this offseason.
He definitely received some positive notes from the Irish coaching staff.
“They said they’re planning on offering me when they come visit in December because they need to see my grades before they can or will,” Hector said.
An offer from Notre Dame would definitely be big for the Eastside Catholic standout especially after his visit to South Bend to see the Irish take down NC State this past weekend.
He and his teammates had a phenomenal experience at Notre Dame and Hector left with a lot of positive memories.
“When I visited the first thing that stood out to me was the friendly atmosphere of the players and coaching staff there,” Hector said.
“When I was at the game the fans and stadium were incredible. Not to mention the fascinating architecture of the school. The first thing I did when I got there was go into their athletic complex and tour around the campus. Overall, a great experience and it’s a place I hope to visit sometime soon again.”
So far, USC is the only school that has offered him and Eastside Catholic teammate D’Andre Rogers, a 2020 tight end, who was also in South Bend.
Cal, Washington and Oregon are three other schools that have reached out to Hector early in his recruitment.
