Rivals100 linebacker Shane Lee is about finish up a summer that featured nearly ten unofficial visits. The Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances junior is headed to Michigan this weekend but took some time to recount his trips from this summer.

IN HIS OWN WORDS...

"I've been to West Virginia, Florida State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Penn State, Ohio State, Maryland and I'm going to Michigan this weekend," Lee said. "I'm honestly not sure what to expect from Michigan this weekend. Coach Harbaugh is a really fun guy, I guess is the way to put it. I'd like to get up there and meet him. I'm not rally sure what else I'll be doing.

"Wisconsin and Notre Dame are the northern most schools I've been to so far," he said. "It was different but both campuses were beautiful and they have a lot to offer. The schools are really good too. We did the tours at each and really got to know the schools. That was the first time I've really been to either school so they tried to give me as much information about each as possible.

"I was at West Virginia shorty after those visits," said Lee. "I think this was one of the more interesting schools I've been to. It's in the mountains and you have a river right next to you. The school itself is pretty cool and I'll have a good opportunity football-wise. You could do a lot from there.

"My Florida State visit was before Notre Dame and Wisconsin," he said. "They were talking about how they have the oldest coaching staff in the country. That was interesting to me but I never really noticed or looked into that before. It's kind of cool to see. They've been really successful so it's not really pulling them down but it's good that they have a lot of coaches that have been through a lot. I know they do a great job recruiting the DMV but it doesn't have a big affect on me. I'm just trying to find my fit.

"I was at Ohio State for Friday Night Lights," Lee said. "I did some drills there. I thought it was great. The energy was cool to see. I've never seen those coaches in action in the Shoe so that was pretty cool. I know about the players they have up there. I was with Keandre (Jones) when I was there. He and I are close. I guess it's cool that they have guys I know there but it doesn't influence my decision. Those coaches aren't trying to pressure me into making a decision any time soon, which is kind of a relief. Not that other coaches are trying to pressure me but hearing it was kind of a relief.

"I was at Penn State the weekend before Ohio State," he said. "This visit was more laid back, to be honest with you. They had Lift for Life going on earlier in the day and it was cool to see the competition and see the fans come out for a good cause. We got to know the coaches more as people on this visit instead of just the coach. It was a different type of visit.

"I've been to Maryland pretty often," said Lee. "They're getting a bunch of guys from home and that's pretty cool. They just finished the indoor facility and that's beautiful. I'm just excited to see what they have in store, especially for my guys that they have there right now. Hopefully they'll get some time to play and show what they can do."

RIVALS' REACTION

Lee never gives away too much about the bigger picture in his recruitment but Ohio State, Maryland, and Penn State remain the biggest contenders in his recruitment. Other schools like Notre Dame and Florida State have made a good impression on him but those relationships aren't as old or as strong as the ones Lee has in Ohio State, Maryland, and Penn State. His reaction to this upcoming visit to Michigan will be telling. The Wolverines have a great recruiting staff and the connections Michigan has to the St. Frances program have been widely publicized. Michigan could certainly come out of this visit as one of Lee's top contenders.
