After collecting dozens of scholarship offers, making a brief commitment to Ole Miss and waiting out the Early Signing Period, Trever Jackson has found his home.

The Orlando (Fla.) Jones senior will transition to college football at Florida State University this month.

"Finally, we found our school," he told Rivals before announcing the news on Wednesday.

Jackson is the second quarterback pledge in Mike Norvell's class of 2024, joining fellow Elite 11 finalist Luke Kromenhoek as part of the No. 12-ranked recruiting class in the country.

Jackson was on board with Ole Miss from late August to late October. Before that, he broke onto the national scene at the Elite 11 competition, winning the 'rail shot' challenge and hardest spin among the competitors before finishing No. 9 in the Pro Day setting.

After the event, Jackson added several offers, including Ole Miss, Oklahoma and many others. It was at that time where programs considered taking him as a second quarterback in the class, an idea he became open to as the year wore on. OU and Miami were among those discussing it, but Jackson ended up being the No. 2 at FSU in the end.

As a senior at Jones High, Jackson split time at the position, totaling 17 touchdowns including 10 as a rusher in helping the program make a state playoff run.

Florida State is replacing considerable talent at the QB position. Jordan Travis is out of eligibility and multiple backups transferred out of the program. Of course former Clemson and Oregon State quarterback DJ Uiagalelei is already in Tallahassee to lead the 2024 group.
