Oregon and Oklahoma made late runs at highly touted Texas linebacker Kaleb Burns.
Burns elected to stick with his commitment to Baylor in the end.
Burns, Rivals' No. 20-ranked LB in the 2025 class out of Houston (Texas) Cy Falls High School, inked with the Bears on National Signing Day.
After official visits to Oregon in October and Oklahoma earlier this month, Burns returned to Baylor over the weekend one last time before putting pen to paper with Baylor.
"I just felt that was the best option for me," Burns told Rivals of his decision to make his commitment to Baylor official on Wednesday.
The Ducks and Sooners both made compelling runs at the high-flying 6-foot-1, 210-pound defender from the Houston area.
The connections to Dave Aranda and members of the Baylor coaching staff were too strong to overcome.
Burns sees himself contributing early in Waco.
"Baylor was the best opportunity to come in and make an impact," he detailed. "They believed in me before everybody else."
