BOSTON COLLEGE

Boston College typically has the majority of the official visitors come in after the season and very few unofficial visitors during the season. The Eagles haven’t had a home game this season, but the most notable unofficial visitor of late has been 2018 wide receiver Jake Bobo. The 6-foot-4, 175-pounder also has offers from Wake Forest, Dartmouth, Elon and Rhode Island. Defensive end Kwity Paye, one of Boston College’s most important commitments in the 2017 class, will likely be visiting Boston College again in early November. There aren’t many spots left in Boston College’s 2017 class, so expect more underclassmen visitors instead of seniors.

CLEMSON

Troy is the only home game Clemson has had so far, but it still attracted some impressive prospects. Stephon Wynn and Jordan Davis made the short trip to see the Tigers. Both are 2018 prospects, with Wynn in the Rivals100 and Davis in the Rivals250. Junior safety Israel Mukuamu was also in attendance. Wynn is the only player out of the three that currently holds a Clemson offer and the Tigers have done a great job recruiting him thus far. Davis and Mukuamu are working toward earning an offer and there is a chance they receive it not too far down the road.

DUKE

Defensive end Matthew Butler, one of Duke's top targets, was at the Wake Forest game over the weekend when the Demon Deacons beat Duke. The three-star defensive lineman is one of the top two or three players left on Duke’s board right now. Duke also hosted 2018 Rivals250 wide receiver Dyami Brown and three-star Nadir Thompson for the Wake Forest game.

FLORIDA STATE

Jimbo Fisher and the Seminoles have technically only had one home game so far, and Rivals250 prospect Leonard Warner was in Tallahassee to take in the action. The Snellville (Ga.) Brookwood star visited Florida State in the summer and wanted to return with his family to get a closer look. Florida State’s first game was in Orlando and 2018 Rivals100 running back Lorenzo Lingard was in attendance. James Cook, the lone five-star committed to Florida State’s 2018 class, was at the Ole Miss game in Orlando to watch his brother, Dalvin Cook.

GEORGIA TECH

Georgia Tech hosted Mercer last weekend, but there weren’t any top uncommitted recruits visiting. The best uncommitted prospect that has already seen Georgia Tech this year is three-star defensive end Cortez Alston. The Atlanta (Ga.) Westminster School standout was at the Boston College game in Ireland because his team played there the day before. Georgia Tech will be hosting three-star defensive tackle Ben Hutch this weekend for the Vanderbilt game and Virginia Tech commit Malik Willis for the Clemson game in two weeks.

LOUISVILLE

The Cardinals have started this season at a blistering pace and Lamar Jackson is lighting up the world. Two 2018 prospects from the same high school were on hand to see Louisville demolish Charlotte in its opening game. Rivals250 defensive end Tahj Rice and three-star defensive back Jarius Brents made the quick trip from Louisville (Ky.) Waggener to see the Cardinals play. Louisville has already offered both and many other schools are involved in their recruitment but Bobby Petrino and his staff will be involved in their recruitment seemingly until the National Signing Day in 2018.

MIAMI

Miami has had two home games and each game featured highly rated visitors. In week one, Miami destroyed Florida A&M 70-3 and Rivals100 Vandarius Cowan, an Alabama commit, was there to see it. Cowan hasn’t been shy about visiting other schools while remaining committed to the Crimson Tide, but getting him to flip his commitment again (he was previously committed to Florida State) won’t be an easy task. The Hurricanes beat up on Florida Atlantic in week two, winning 38-10. Patrick Surtain, the top-rated cornerback in the 2018 class, and 2018 Rivals100 wide receiver Tre Turner were both in attendance. The Hurricanes have a very good shot at landing Surtain’s commitment, but there is a lot of competition, especially from the other in-state schools. Turner’s recruitment is still coming into focus and many more offers are coming for him.

N.C. STATE

N.C. State had dreams of going 4-0 leading up to its Oct. 8 matchup against Notre Dame, but East Carolina had other plans. The Pirates beat the Wolfpack at home 33-30 over the weekend. The recruiting ramifications have yet to really unfold, but N.C. State hosted two important recruits for its first game of the year against William & Mary. The first and highest rated was 2018 Rivals100 all-purpose back Ricky Person. N.C. State and Duke have been in the best position so far for Person, but there are a lot more offers are coming for him. Defensive back Javon Terry holds an offer from N.C. State and could end up remaining a regional recruit. There is a good chance he stays in-state for college.

NORTH CAROLINA

The Tar Heels took a tough loss on national TV against Georgia at the Georgia Dome in week one and traveled to Illinois in week two. With no home games under their belt yet, North Carolina hasn’t had a chance to host any prospects. Even though the Georgia game didn’t go the way Larry Fedora and his staff wanted, their top target in the 2018 class was in attendance. Five-star running back Zamir White made the trip from Laurinburg (N.C.) Scotland County with his head coach. The Tar Heels have been surging in White’s recruitment since the middle of the offseason and many people believe North Carolina is his leader.

PITTSBURGH

Pat Narduzzi has the Panthers sitting at 2-0 after two home wins over Villanova and Penn State. The win over the rival Nittany Lions last weekend was huge from a recruiting standpoint and multiple top targets were on hand to see how the game played out. The top seniors in attendance were five-star cornerback Lamont Wade, Rivals250 cornerback Ambry Thomas, and Rivals250 defensive end Tyjuan Garbutt. Top 2018 targets Kwantel Raines and Trenton Gillison were also among the many big-time players that visited. The Panthers have a firm foothold in the recruitment of Wade, Garbutt, Raines and Gillison. Wade is strongly considering a handful of other schools as well, while Virginia Tech is the only other top contender for Garbutt. Raines and Gillison aren’t done picking up offers, but the Panthers will continue to be a major factor in their recruitments.

SYRACUSE

New Syracuse head coach Dino Babers got his team off to a good start by beating Colgate at home 33-7, but Louisville came to town last weekend and torched the Orange 62-28. Three-star offensive tackle Tyran Hunt was on hand for the Louisville game. Maryland seems like the other top contender for Hunt with Virginia Tech and Duke trailing. Syracuse also hosted the entire New Berlin (N.Y.) Milford Academy prep team.

VIRGINIA

Virginia new head coach Bronco Mendenhall got off to a rocky start this season with a home loss to Richmond in week one followed by a 44-26 loss at Oregon last weekend. Noah Taylor, the lone commitment in Virginia’s 2018 class, was in Charlottesville for the Richmond game along with his teammate Axel Nyembwe. Virginia has offered Nyembwe and is contending with Wake Forest, Rutgers, Duke and others for him. Three-star offensive lineman Ryan Nelson is expected to take an official visit to Virginia in two weeks when the Cavaliers host Central Michigan.

VIRGINIA TECH

The Justin Fuente era at Virginia Tech has started off pretty well. The Hokies beat Liberty at home 36-13 in week one and played a decent game against Tennessee last weekend at the Battle at Bristol while setting an all-time attendance record. Rivals250 defensive end Tyjuan Garbutt, 2018 Rivals250 offensive lineman Nana Asiedu and big-time 2019 running back Devyn Ford all visited Blacksburg for the Liberty game. Garbutt, a former Hokie commit, still lists Virginia Tech in his top two while Asiedu and Ford, teammates a Stafford (Va.) North Stafford, have visited Virginia Tech multiple times. Virginia Tech has made Asiedu and Ford major priorities and will continue to recruit them heavily until National Signing Day of their senior years.

WAKE FOREST

Wake Forest squeaked out a victory over Tulane to open the season and beat Duke in Durham last weekend by a score of 24-14. So far the Demon Deacons haven’t hosted many uncommitted prospects, but 2018 Rivals250 linebacker Dax Hollifield will be back in Winston-Salem this weekend for the Delaware game. Hollifield’s father played at Wake Forest and Dax has spent plenty of time around the program. Current Demon Deacon commits Christian Beal and Allan Rappleyea returned to Winston-Salem for the Tulane game.
