Colby Bowman has always watched Stanford closely.

So when the 2019 three-star wide receiver from Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco landed an offer from the Cardinal in recent months it was definitely a big deal.

Two weekends ago, Bowman took another unofficial visit to Stanford - this time for the Arizona State game - and the 2019 standout had an excellent time.

“It was awesome,” Bowman said.

“Getting to experience what they do in the locker room before and after the game was cool. I love the offense. They took a lot of one-on-one shots and they get the ball into the receivers' hands quickly. ASU looked solid as well so it was a good game to go up and see.”

Bowman, one of many top receivers on a loaded Bosco offense, did not have extensive talks during this trip to Stanford but he did chat with some coaches and the Cardinal will absolutely remain one of the favorites early in his recruitment.

“I didn't have much time with the coaches but I did talk to (Mike) Bloomgren and (Tavita) Pritchard,” Bowman said.

“They were just asking how I've been and how school is going. Coach (David) Shaw patted me on the back in the locker room and shook my hand because he had to talk to the team before the game.”

So far, the 2019 three-star receiver has landed offers from Air Force, Arizona State, Boston College, Cal, Colorado, Fresno State, Nevada, Oregon, San Jose State, Stanford, UCLA and Utah. No other new interest has been coming in recently.
