After landing a commitment from three-star cornerback Vernon Woodward on Sunday, Wisconsin continued their recruiting momentum from their weekend officials by adding a verbal pledge from Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy defensive lineman Hank Weber on Monday.
Along with the Badgers, the three-star prospect had June officials set with Vanderbilt and North Carolina. However, after an unofficial visit to Madison in April and a return trip to campus over the weekend, Wisconsin had everything Weber was looking for.
ON HIS WISCONSIN COMMITMENT:
"Coach (Luke) Fickell says that the people make Wisconsin what it is. This weekend definitely showed me that is a true statement. Before this weekend, it was North Carolina, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin. I fell in love with the school and everything about it, so I decided to commit to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I believe that Wisconsin has everything I am looking for and everything I need to take the next step in my career."
The 6-foot-4, 260-pound talent becomes the 10th overall commitment for Wisconsin in their 2024 recruiting class and their first along the defensive line.
