West to see three games this week

Lima (Ohio) Central Catholic class of 2014 safety Darius West enters the fall with five scholarship offers already in hand. Now, the 5-foot-11, 189-pound prospect is looking to make game day visits with schools showing interest.
"I went to Louisville-Kentucky on Sunday," West said. "It was real good up there. The players down there looked real physical.

"Before [the game] we went into the meeting room and I talked to all the coaches. I talked to Coach [Tommy] Restivo, the safeties coach. He was real happy I had come up."
Even prior to Sunday's visit, Louisville was the school West had been in contact with the most. Other programs are picking up the interest, however, especially since colleges have been able to contact juniors.
"On the first day, Sept. 1, at 12:30 [a.m.] Michigan State's Mike Tressel contacted me with a personal Facebook message," West said. "When he was recruiting my quarterback he used to always come down, so I already had a good relationship with him."
West played with current Michigan State freshman quarterback Tyler O'Connor last fall, and has heard positive feedback from his former teammates on the Spartans.
"Michigan State is a real good school and Tyler has been talking to me a lot about them," West said. "He said he likes how they do things up there, so they are definitely up there for me.
Other schools that have been in contact with West since Sept. 1 include Wisconsin, Illinois, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Stanford, NC State and UCLA.
"Ohio State contacted me yesterday and I have been talking with Coach [Tim] Hinton a lot," West said. "I'm going to their game on Saturday."
West also plans to attend Cincinnati's game tonight (Sept. 6) and has dates picked out to make game visits to Indiana (Sept. 15), Illinois (Sept. 29) and a return trip to Ohio State (Nov. 24).
