Washington headed to Miami

Most of the talk has been surrounding hurricanes when you bring up Destrehan, La, defensive tackle Chaz Washington but a more positive hurricane is now the talk of the family. It appears that a few days ago the three-star rated prospect made his college decision.
Without taking any visits yet, the 6-foot-3, 305-pound No. 14 rated player in the state of Louisiana apparently made his decision earlier than expected. However, with one visit set up to Miami, it doesn't look like it will be that big of a deal.

"Yeah, he's going to Miami," Washington's brother, Mark Washington, said this evening. "It was his decision. I mean, I told him that was my advice, but he did it on his own."
The older brother gave him the advice about Miami because of the pro potential he would have there.
"I told him Miami is where they have the most pros come out of," Washington said. "We were all excited for him. I do know he hasn't taken any visits yet and I think he may still take all of those. I'm not real sure yet."
It appears that if all goes well at Miami in January, the talented Washington may be solidifying his commitment according to his brother.
Washington was holding offers from Florida, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas Tech, and UCLA before making his decision.
