The 2015 quarterback from Anaheim (Calif.) Servite was offered by Washington when coach Steve Sarkisian was there. Now that he's moved to USC, Waller is hopeful the Trojans and others could get more involved soon.
"They reached out," Waller said of USC. "I think they're coming out this week or next week so I'm going to meet with him. (Marques) Tuiasosopo is on the staff now, too, so I'm looking forward to that. I'm hopeful an offer might be coming."
The 6-foot-4, 185-pound prospect, who was one of the top prospects at the Steve Clarkson Field Generals Quarterback Camp last weekend in Pasadena, said he has not talked with the new Washington staff yet.
Waller is in no rush to make a commitment and he's expected to talk with the Huskies' coaches soon.
"I haven't talked to them yet," Waller said. "They said they'll contact me soon. I think they're going to visit the school, so I'm looking forward to that."
Much more interest is coming in for Waller, who threw for 12 touchdowns and rushed for 13 other scores this season. He said Oregon, Ohio State, UCLA and Northwestern are involved as well.
