Walker chooses Kentucky

Kentucky is continuing their recruiting hot streak by picking up a commitment from Kobie Walker. The three-star from Olney (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel picked the Wildcats over Miami and West Virginia.
"As soon as I stepped on campus on my visits and for the spring game I loved it," said the 6-foot-4, 198-pound Walker. "I feel like the coaching staff has been showing me the most love out of everybody. After talking with the recruits that they've had commit recently, I can see and tell that it's a great place to be and a place where I can play early."

Walker has noticed the recent string of big time commitments for the Wildcats.
"I've been talking to all the commits," he said. "They tell me that they like it there and they like the coaches. I guess that helped with my decision as well."
Distance was clearly not an issue for Walker and he says he will be in Lexington again very soon.
"I'll be out there again on June 8 because they're having a camp that a lot of the commits and high recruits are going to be at," said Walker. "I'll be there with them."
Walker finished by saying the words every coaching staff loves to hear.
"I'm not listening to any other schools and am totally shutting recruitment down," he said.
More than ten schools had offered Walker a scholarship, including Syracuse, Rutgers, Oklahoma State, Boston College and others.
