Safety Curtis Campbell has two offers in-hand. The 6-foot-2, 205-pounder recently visited one of the schools and may take at least one more visit in the coming weeks.
"I've got offers from North Carolina and Connecticut," he said. "I went to North Carolina not too long ago.

"The campus was good. It wasn't my first time down. I had been two previous times for track meets, but I did get to see more of the academics and the sports facilities. I met with head coach Butch Davis. He kind of sold me. He told me how good the facilities were.
"The trip was kind of funny as two other prospects committed. I held off and want to wait it out longer. However, North Carolina and Connecticut have said I'm the top safety they are recruiting."
Another visit is possibly coming for Campbell.
"I might go up to Maryland soon," he said. "That will probably be my last unofficial visit.
"I've also been in touch with South Carolina and I'm still hearing a bit from Virginia Tech. I think Virginia Tech is just waiting it out until the season starts so they can see more game film since I was hurt four or five games last year."
Has Campbell considered a decision?
"I haven't really thought about it," he said. "I know during the season you can use up to five official visits and I want to use all five of those. I think I'll wait until late December or so."
In the meantime, the Chesapeake (Va.) Grassfield prospect has participated in two track meets.
"I went to a national track meet in Puerto Rico," he said. "I placed first in the 400 meter with a 47.7.
"I also went to the Nike outdoor nationals at North Carolina A&T. I placed fourth in the 400 meter and 9th in the 200 meter. Now track is done and I'm starting to go to 7-on-7's with my team."
