Eddie Vanderdoes has been committed to USC since July but the Placer, Calif., four-star defensive tackle is looking at two other official visits and possibly others.
The 6-foot-3, 302-pound recruit said nothing has been finalized yet but he's planning to visit LSU for its game against South Carolina in mid-October and then go to Cal sometime later in the season. A trip to USC is expected in early November for the Oregon showdown.
"I'm not 100 percent sure yet," Vanderdoes said. "I most likely will be taking my visits. The ones I have for sure right now are LSU and Cal. Those are the two for sure and obviously USC.
"The other two I'm still thinking about what I'm going to do with the other visits. I'm not 100 percent sure yet if I want to take my other two visits. I'm going to keep my mind open for the other two. I'm not exactly sure yet."
More than 40 programs have offered Vanderdoes, rated as the fourth-best defensive tackle and No. 33 prospect in the 2013 class by Rivals.com. He's also among the top handful of players in the California state rankings.
Many teams are still recruiting him but he's still not settled on his entire official visit schedule.
So far this season, Vanderdoes is playing well and is nearly unstoppable at defensive tackle or defensive end. He has about 26 tackles and five sacks through four victories even after facing double and triple teams.
"I'm playing well," Vanderdoes said.
"I'm playing everywhere. I'm playing a lot of defensive tackle and a good amount of defensive end. On pass rush once I get past the first level the center will slide in and check me and then after him it will be the fullback."
In his junior season, Vanderdoes finished with 59 tackles and eight sacks.
