UA All-America Game: Five commitment predictions

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – We asked Rivals.com National Recruiting Director Mike Farrell to predict where some of the top uncommitted prospects competing in the Under Armour All-America Game will end up. Here’s the latest batch of predictions.

Note: Not all of these prospects will be committing this week, as many of them could take their decisions all the way to Signing Day.

The skinny: Wilson announced a top five of LSU, Florida State, Ohio State, Oklahoma and USF and told me LSU and FSU will be high on his list until the end. He could sneak in an official visit to USC or Ole Miss or someone else, but I feel confident about this one.

The prediction: LSU

He always favored the Tigers and the hiring of Ed Orgeron puts them over the top.

The skinny: South Carolina, Florida and Kentucky are all in the mix and it really depends on who needs a tackle by the time he decides. The Gators really need offensive linemen and need some bigger name guys to boost this class, but the Gamecocks just lost an offensive lineman to the Gators, so they will charge hard. Kentucky would love to land another four-star from Georgia.

The Prediction: Florida

The Gators need the help and are the winningest option Gray has, so I’ll take a guess on them. Gray has been very difficult to read.

The skinny: Sterling, a one-time Alabama commitment, is down to Georgia, N.C. State, Tennessee and South Carolina and will need to take a bunch of visits in January to see his favorites.

The Prediction: South Carolina

Sterling talked a lot about his relationship with the Gamecocks staff and his comfort level there, and they are pushing the hardest.

The skinny: Thomas wanted to commit to Alabama at one time, but it appears the Tide didn’t have room and now Missouri could have moved on. Illinois is in good shape and Oregon just offered, so it appears down to those two.

The prediction: Illinois

Oregon will make a push and he would be a great fit there, but he’s more likely to stay close to home now.

The skinny: Davis has visited Pitt and Missouri and the Panthers are still in it while North Carolina and Louisville will get visits coming up. He’s a hard one to call here because those two visits in January could be key, so I’ll take a shot in the dark.

The prediction: North Carolina

No real inside info here, I just think the Tar Heels' offense will lure him in.
