Two new five stars in 2009 Rivals100
In December, Rivals.com ranked the top 100 juniors in the nation. It was the earliest non-alphabetical junior list in our history.
Since that time, we've seen many more 2009 prospects in person (and on tape). Because of all the new information gathered, we feel confident in updating the 2009 Rivals100.

While quarterback Matt Barkley remains on top, there are plenty of players - like defensive tackle William Campbell - moving up the charts.
Campbell, a 6-foot-4, 327-pounder from Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech, is already committed to Michigan. The big man carries his weight well, moves with agility that belies his size and seemingly can't be blocked by one player. He earned a five-star rating after a great performance at the U.S. Army All American Bowl Combine.
Another big mover is Austin (Texas) Lake Travis quarterback Garrett Gilbert. Gilbert also moved to five-star status and currently has offers from Nebraska, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. Our feeling is plenty more offers will come. Gilbert threw for 4,826 yards and 52 touchdowns as a junior and is the top pure quarterback in a loaded year under center in the Lone Star State.
Columbus (Ga.) Carver athlete Jarvis Jones came as close as possible to a fifth star, moving up to No. 15 in the class. Jones played a big role in leading his team to the 4A State Championship.
Others making big moves up the list include Philadelphia (Pa.) Cardinal O'Hara quarterback Tom Savage - who showed off his arm strength and accuracy at the U.S. Army All American Combine - and Aldine (Texas) Eisenhower wide receiver Greg Timmons.
Other prospects, like Frisco (Texas) Centennial quarterback Ryan Mossakowski, jumped into the Rivals100. Mossakowski makes his debut at No. 54. Warner Robins (Ga.) Northside linebacker Eric Fields and San Diego Cathedral Catholic running back Tyler Gaffney entered the list at No. 62 and No. 66, respectively.
Seattle Garfield defensive tackle Deandre Coleman, Scranton (Pa.) West Scranton offensive lineman Eric Shrive, Houston Chavez defensive end Michael Brockers and Greenville (S.C.) Christ Church offensive tackle J.K. Jay are also making their debuts in the class of 2009 Rivals100.
A few players who just missed the list were running back Trabis Ward from Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard and defensive end Donte Moss from Jacksonville (N.C.) Northside.
California leads the way with 14 players in the new Rivals100, followed by Texas with 13 and Florida with 12. It looks like a strong year at quarterback, running back and wide receiver when it comes to positional breakdowns.
