Tulsa is first for Terry

After a solid spring and with 7-on-7 underway, Lufkin, Texas cornerback Darrius Terry is on the board with his first scholarship offer.
Tulsa became the first school to offer the 6-foot, 171-pounder several weeks ago. Schools both in and out of the state are also showing interest.

"I got one from Tulsa about three weeks ago," Terry said when asked about offers. "Missouri is talking to me and so is Oklahoma State and North Texas. They haven't said anything about offering. They just want me to come up for their camps."
Terry isn't sold on just one favorite school yet. The first offer from Tulsa wasn't one he expected.
"I was surprised," Terry said. "It was the first letter they had ever sent. They're recruiting me at cornerback and so are the other schools."
With 7-on-7 in full swing for Terry, he's also getting down to business with his academics. He will take the ACT this weekend. Will there be any time for summer trips?
"I don't know of anything yet," Terry said. "We've been pretty busy with 7-on-7 games. We've got a game every week."
Terry was a second-team all-district member as a junior.
