It's been more than two months since Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson safety Jared Tucker committed to Kentucky and he said he's had no second thoughts about joining the Wildcats historic recruiting class.

"It's been going really well," Tucker said. "I talk to the coaches almost every night. Whether it's (special teams) Coach (Bradley Dale) Peveto, (cornerbacks) Coach (Derrick) Ansley or (head) Coach (Mark) Stoops I'm talking to one of them. Everything has been great."
Since joining the class Tucker has seen the Wildcats go to new heights in recruiting. He said being part of what will likely be a historic class is something he considers special.
"We never knew is going to be this big," Tucker said. "We were hoping it would be, but we didn't really know and now that it is, it's really great."
Tucker said he's already connecting with his future teammates and said he doubts the class won't stay together in the future.
"Getting to meet all the guys has been great," he said. "And it's a really good group of guys, too. People like Drew Barker, Mike Edwards and Darius West, we've all been talking and keeping in touch."
Tucker's senior season at Stephenson High begins on Aug. 30.
