Yahya Gaad is moving closer to his college decision.

As we brace for the new year, one of the top pass-rushers in the country is ready to make his college commitment.

Gaad, the No. 35-ranked defensive end in the country out of Medina (Tenn.) South Gibson High School in Tennessee, will reveal his college decision on Thursday, January 2.

Gaad will choose from Georgia, Texas, Florida State, and Washington.

The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder from Tennessee made unofficial game-day visits to both Athens and Austin last month. Gaad was Between the Hedges for the Dawgs' statement win over rival Tennessee. He made his first trip to The Forty Acres for the Kentucky game and returned home with an offer from the Longhorns in hand.

Georgia and Texas are the leaders for Gaad ahead of Washington and Florida State, two other finalists for the three-star defensive lineman. Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Kentucky are three more SEC programs that hosted the talented defender during his junior season for visits.
