"He has wanted to get this information out so the other schools in the running could move forward," Wofford said.
All of Claytor's finalists have extended a scholarship offer to the 6-foot-5, 312-pounder except for Notre Dame, which inquired about Claytor for the first time Friday morning.
Claytor plans to camp this summer at Ohio State, Florida State and Auburn, and he will make official visits to each finalist with the exception of Georgia Tech. He will also attend games at all six schools in the fall.
Prior to Friday, Claytor also had Clemson, South Carolina and Florida on his early list.
