FONTANA, Calif. - Justin Flowe is one of the top linebackers in the 2020 class and now he has an Alabama offer.
The Upland, Calif., standout was shocked when he got offered by the Crimson Tide last week.
“It was a big offer,” Flowe said Sunday at the Passing Down Inland Empire Elite 7v7 Regional.
“I was just at school, chilling at school doing my work and my coach called me up and told me Alabama wanted to offer me. So I got on the phone with Tosh Lupoi and he was telling me about the school and how big Alabama is and he gave me the offer.
“That’s like a dream offer. I was surprised.”
The recruiting process has already been kicked into high gear for Flowe, who has 24 offers before the end of his sophomore year, and more could be coming. He’s an exceptional talent and has the attention of many national programs.
Alabama definitely appeals to the 2020 linebacker but Flowe is not sure of any offseason visits yet.
“My big thing is I want to go to college and get my schoolwork in and I want to go to the NFL,” Flowe said. “That’s what I want to do is go to the NFL. Alabama is a good choice.
“It’s big because of how many championships they won and Nick Saban. He’s a really good coach and that’s a really big school.”
The Upland recruit said he’s hoping to hear more from Georgia. He remains open to all programs and is not ready to name favorites this early.
