RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – Justin Flowe tracks running backs sideline to sideline and then lays them out.

The Upland, Calif., linebacker busts through the offensive line routinely to pressure the quarterback – or to make him run for his life.

Flowe has proven this season that he could be one of the top 2020 linebackers nationally because of his size, his speed, his toughness and his intelligence on the field.

“I work hard,” Flowe said Friday night after his unbeaten Upland team beat previously-undefeated Rancho Cucamonga. “I feel like I’m the best.”

There is a long way to go in the 2020 rankings since that has not even started yet on Rivals.com but Flowe will be in the conversation for one of the top linebackers in the class.

And while recruiting is not his focus during his sophomore season, there is one team he really wants to hear from more often.

“I want to hear from Alabama,” Flowe said. “Alabama for sure.

“Alabama is a big school. It would be wonderful to get that (offer).”

So far, Flowe has landed offers from Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, San Diego State, San Jose State, UCLA, USC, Utah and Washington State.

The 2020 standout said the Bruins have been recruiting him the hardest. USC should also be watched closely since Flowe has visited there as well.

“I have a lot of contact with (UCLA),” Flowe said. “I go to UCLA a lot so I just talk to them a lot.

“USC is a tradition. It’s big. All their games are big. It was really wonderful.”
