Top-100-ranked class of 2027 offensive tackle Maxwell Hiller has a couple of fall visits booked, and is eyeing at least one more.
The Coatesville Area Senior High School (Coatesville, Pennsylvania) standout plans to be at Ohio State on Oct. 26 when the Buckeyes host Nebraska.
He then is scheduled to be to Penn State on Nov. 9 for the Nittany Lions' "White Out" game versus Washington.
Hiller is also in the process of working with his parents to find a date that works for them to visit Auburn at some point during the 2024 season, but that is not set up quite yet.
He also visited Maryland last weekend. It is possible that Hiller adds additional visits to the calendar in the future as well.
Hiller is looking forward to his upcoming trips and spoke with Rivals to preview the visits.
The young offensive lineman is impressed with the traditions and history that Ohio State offers, and he is looking forward to being in Columbus next month to get a closer look at head coach Ryan Day's program.
"I’m super pumped to be there," Hiller said about OSU. "It's a huge blessing and it’s a championship organization."
As for Penn State, Hiller has been a frequent visitor to Happy Valley. However, there aren't many environments in college football quite like the Nittany Lions' "White Out" game and Hiller can't wait to see it in person.
"I’m super excited to see the 'White Out' atmosphere (at Penn State)," Hiller said about head coach James Franklin's program.
If he is able to get the Auburn trip on the schedule, Hiller noted that he is eager to meet head coach Hugh Freeze, offensive line coach Jake Thornton and the rest of the staff for the Tigers. He is also looking forward to checking out the game-day atmosphere at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Hiller has not received a scholarship offer from the Tigers yet, but has received offers from the Buckeyes, Nittany Lions and Terrapins already. In addition, he has offers from Kent State, Michigan, Oklahoma, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and West Virginia.
The 6-foot-5-plus, 296-pound Hillman is primarily being recruited by college programs as an offensive tackle. This season, as a sophomore, he is looking to use his large frame, power and athleticism to help lead Coatesville to victories, and is hoping to accomplish some individual objectives this season as well.
"I describe my game as fast and mean," he said. "My goals are definitely just to dominate every game and earn all-state (honors)."
As mentioned, Hiller made Rivals' initial top-100 list, which was released last week. He came in as the No. 57 prospect overall.
"It was amazing," Hiller said about being named to the top-100. "I am so grateful for it and there’s more work to do!"
