SAN ANTONIO, Tex. -- Tommy Bush is one of the biggest names left on the open market in Texas, but it’s possible that he’s still not very close to a decision.

The four-star receiver has taken official visits this fall to Michigan State and Nebraska, but is still undecided on which schools might host him on his remaining three. While he might not be out to name names as to which programs are still in the running, he’s at least narrowed things down a bit regionally.

“For sure? No,” he said of knowing his next visit. “But I think my next one might be somewhere down south. We’re trying to figure that out now - we used two of them up north, maybe we’ll use one down south and figure out the last two.”

He did suggest that one of the SEC teams still pursuing him is where the smart money is for his next official visit. Picking out which teams that could mean is a task in itself, as most of those conference programs have offered him -- and most seemingly have room in their class for a long perimeter receiver such as Bush.

IN HIS WORDS

WWhere things currently stand with Nebraska (visited October 6)

“I still like Nebraska; I still like the wide receivers coach,” he said. “I still like the atmosphere and everything, but we’re just going to have to see what happens with the coaching staff. Whatever happens, I hope that most of that staff is sticking around, but we’ll just have to wait and find out.”

"I still have interest in them and stay in contact with them,” he said. “They just tell me about how they'll be using me next season.”

“I really like what Michigan State has done with their offense,” he said. “I like the receivers coach there as well. Overall [the visit] was great. I had no complaints after that [visit] and they showed me they appreciate me … Seeing the way they gameplan and the staff and players stood out.”

RIVALS REACTION

Several in-state programs have been closely linked to Bush, and last week he had some positive things to say about Baylor in an interview with SicEmSports.com. Despite Texas offering him a bit later in the process, Bush said that the Longhorns staff hasn’t seemed quite as eager in recruiting him as he initially thought would be the case. He said this week that he is possibly eyeing up a January commitment while in Orlando at the Under Armour All-America Game but has also recently been quoted in saying he may choose to wait until National Signing Day to announce.
