Letayveon Beaton’s commitment to Toledo is relatively new, but that’s not to say that it’s not strong. Beaton’s decision was based on a trip, so it’s not as thought the his pledge was made totally site unseen.

The Florida-based safety is familiar with the school and the area in which its campus resides.

“We had a trip up to Michigan, like, a few weeks ago, and I just liked everything at the school and in the Ohio area when we were there,” Beaton said. “That’s when I knew I wanted to do it.”

Still, Beaton will take a few looks around before Signing Day. His door to recruitment remains cracked at least. Just how far open it swings, however, will depend on which programs offer in the future.

“I’m going to look around, but I don’t even know where yet,” Beaton said. “I’m just gonna see.”

A two-star prospect, Beaton attends Florida’s Boca Ciega High School.

IN HIS WORDS: “I don’t know where I want to visit, but I know I know Buffalo and Bowling Green might be close to offers, so if that happens, I might look there.”

RIVALS REACTION: Beaton is likely to stick with Toledo unless a power-five school or a Florida based program brings an offer. It seems unlikely that another school from a smaller conference will change his mind.
