Rutgers continues to pick up commitments in the 2026 class, as three-star athlete/EDGE Wydeek Collier announced his pledge to the Scarlet Knights on Sunday.

Collier, who currently attends Ss. Neumann Goretti High School in Philadelphia, will play his college football under head coach Greg Schiano, defensive line coach Colin Ferrell, defensive ends coach Julian Campenni and the rest of the RU staff.

Collier has visited Piscataway multiple times, including three times during the 2024 regular season.

In October of 2024, Collier released a top-five schools list of Rutgers, Miami (FL.), Penn State, Syracuse and West Virginia.

Ultimately, it was Collier's relationship with the coaching staff that helped Rutgers win out in his recruitment. He also feels he would be a good fit in RU's defensive scheme as an edge rusher.

"I love their coaching staff," Collier previously told Rivals.com about the Scarlet Knights. "I feel real comfortable with them. How they use their defensive ends lets me use all of my skill set."

The 6-foot-6, 205-pound Collier will likely need to put on weight and add strength once he gets to the college level, but he provides coveted physical traits, such as length, quickness, explosiveness and athleticim, which makes him an exciting prospect off of the edge. While the ideal role for Collier is most likely as a stand-up edge rusher, he has positional versatility as an outside linebacker/defensive lineman hybrid player.

Collier has a self-reported wingspan of 83 inches and self-reported 40-yard dash time of 4.6-seconds.

As a junior in 2024, he compiled 34 tackles, 14 tackles for loss and eight sacks (including a strip sack). Offensively, he plays wide receiver for the Saints, and recorded 13 catches for 370 yards (28.5 yards per reception) and two touchdowns. He was selected as a first-team All-Catholic honoree as a wide receiver, while earning second-team accolades as a defensive lineman.

Collier picked up scholarship offers from Florida State, North Carolina and Massachusetts during the month of January. In addition to his top-five schools mentioned above, he also received offers from Boston College, Charlotte, Duke, Temple and Virginia Tech.

He currently ranks as the No. 21 player in the state of Pennsylvania and as the No. 37 athlete in the 2026 cycle.

With Collier's commitment, the Scarlet Knights' 2026 class now includes three total pledges. He joins three-star wide receiver/athlete Elias Coke and four-star wide receiver Dyzier Carter.
