Three-star OL decommits

Center Camden Wentz picked up an early offer from Stanford and thought he had ended the recruiting process with a commitment back in April.
Wentz made the decision to decommit from Stanford last night, however, and he already has a few other schools on his mind. While the Cardinal still holds the top spot on his list he would like to evaluate all of his options.

"I just felt that at this point it wasn't best to be committed," Wentz explained. "I still love Stanford. They're still probably number one, but I want to check out some other options.
"I visited Louisville this past weekend and I've visited Georgia Tech as well. There have been a couple of others like Duke and Vanderbilt that have shown interest. I know UNC and Florida State are coming to the school on Friday."
Wentz thinks he may have made his decision too hastily without waiting to see what other offers might come in.
"I'm really open to anybody right now. I committed really early and I didn't get a chance to get all the attention I probably could have had. Now that I'm decommitted I can probably get that. I know it's late but there are some others that will come in. Some have already told me they'll probably offer.
"I get the impression Louisville will offer. They seem really interested. I think Vanderbilt is looking to get offensive tackles but if they don't then they might. Duke might and Georgia Tech probably will."
It's quite a trip from Wentz's home in Marietta, Georgia to Palo Alto, California. Did location play a factor in his decision?
"Not really," he said. "Not at all. My mom really wanted me to stay closer to home but my parents also wanted me to choose the school I felt more comfortable with. It's really not about location. It's never really been much of a factor for me."
Wentz said he is still interested in Stanford. The interest is mutual, and he has already spoken with Coach Jim Harbaugh about his decision to open things back up.
"I talked to Coach Harbaugh last night, actually. He understands completely. He knows the admissions process is a bit unique with Stanford. He said I haven't changed in their eyes at all. I'm still going to take my official visit out there."
Wentz said he has not yet set up any other official visits.
