1. FLORIDA WILL FLIP ONIS KONANBANNY FROM TENNESSEE

Four-star cornerback Onis Konanbanny, who has been committed to rival Tennessee since the summer, recently made his third visit to the Swamp in as many months. Another visit to Florida has the Gators continuing to set themselves up for another blue-chipper before February's Late Signing Day. We liked Konabanny's chances of flipping in December and we like them even more as February nears.

2. MICHIGAN WILL LAND FOUR-STAR TY HAYWOOD

Michigan closed out the 2025 recruiting cycle with fireworks and while Sherrone Moore's first season at the helm of the Wolverines didn't result in a playoff appearance, it did set the program up to compete for one as early as next season.

Moore helped engineer flips of five-star QB Bryce Underwood, five-star defensive end Nathaniel Marshall, four-star safety Jordan Young, four-star cornerback Shamari Earls, as well as winning out for four-star LB Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng.

Michigan has one more ace up its sleeve and is trending again with four-star offensive lineman Ty Haywood, who officially visited this past weekend.

3. TEXAS WILL RECEIVE AT LEAST TWO COMMITMENTS THIS WEEKEND

Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns will welcome several top 2026 and 2027 targets to the Forty Acres this weekend as Texas kicks off its offseason with a big recruiting weekend on campus. Several Longhorns' commitments and priority targets in the 2026 cycle are set to be in town, and there's a sense that Texas could close out the weekend with a few more additions to its 2026 class.

Several Longhorns leans are set to be in town, and I predict Texas will receive at least two commitments coming out from it, among this group of likely candidates: Rivals' No. 1 running back KJ Edwards, four-star offensive tackles John Turntine III and Zaden Krempin, four-star safety Isaiah Williams and three-star defensive end Yahya Gaad. We have those prospects circled on the board.
