Thomas headed to Stillwater

La Marque, Texas defensive back James Thomas tweaked an ankle during a basketball game Tuesday night and his recruiting process took a twist Wednesday morning.
Thomas (6-1, 185-pounds), the 31st-ranked safety in the country, was paid a visit by Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy and assistant Joe DeForest Wednesday morning. Thomas was fresh off an official visit to Arkansas just a few days before.

Right time, right place for Oklahoma State.
"I just talked with the Arkansas coaches and they told me they are full," Thomas said. "I had a visit set up to Oklahoma State the weekend they had their ice storm and couldn't get up there. I'll be going up there this weekend and they are my No. 1 (school)."
Thomas got a late jump on his official visits, having played through December and winning a Class 4A state championship.
He has taken two official visits, the other being Kansas State, where teammate Raphael Guidry has committed.
"I'm looking forward to this weekend," he said. "I know they have a bunch of Houston guys up there and I could come home a Cowboy."
