“I had already been to Utah and to Kansas,” the 6-foot, 182-pound Pendleton said. “Those were good visits. This weekend I went to Texas Tech. I had a real good time on the visit. Everything was kind of what I was expecting it to be. I felt comfortable with the coaches, the players, the community and everything. It was just a good visit overall.”
Pendleton has not reached a decision on where he wants to spend the next portion of his football career.
“I’m not ready to make a pick yet,” he said. “Right now, Kansas and Texas Tech are at the top of my list. Those are the two I am considering the most right now. I am going to take a look at Iowa and maybe Iowa State. I don’t have a visit lined up with either of them at this time, though.
“Coaches are going to be in home this week with us. I will have Tech coaches here Wednesday night. I want to wait until I’ve heard from the coaches before I make a choice. After that, I’ll have a good idea of what I want to do. I also will know before long whether I am going to take any more visits and that will help me decide when to make my choice, too.”
