Position: Tight End
Size and Speed: Casey is 6-foot-7 and 225-pounds. He has been timed at 4.80 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Statistics: Casey caught 14 passes for 352 yards and three touchdowns as a junior.
Favorite Schools: Casey lists Texas, Texas Tech and Notre Dame as his top three schools. He also lists LSU, Arkansas and Oklahoma State.
Skinny: Casey is regarded as the top tight end in the state of Texas for the Class of 2004. The problem is baseball might keep him from college.
"If I go to college, I'd like to play both sports," Casey said. "Going straight to the pros is something I've checked into. It is still early, so nothing is set. It is something I will consider.
"I will have to work hard I know. If it works out great. If it doesn't work out, I'll come back to college and play football then."
Casey favors Texas, Texas Tech and Notre Dame the most right now.
"Texas Tech has offered me a scholarship. They're the only ones so far. I'm liking Notre Dame a little more right now than earlier. They are sending me more stuff now."
Casey plans on camping at Texas Tech and at Texas this summer.
"Right now, those are the two I'm looking at. But the baseball schedule will dictate the camp schedule for me."
