Texas showing early interest in 2019 in-state QB Terrance Gipson

The Latest: Class of 2019 quarterback Terrance Gipson is still waiting on his first offer, but after an impressive performance in the inaugural True 19 All-Star Game it may not be long before they start rolling in. Rivals.com caught up with Gipson to talk about his early interest and which school might be the first to join his list.

In His Words: “A lot of schools have sent me mail and stuff like that but I’m still waiting on that first offer to come in.”

On which school might offer first: “I hear a lot from Texas and a lot of people tell me that they might offer in the future. They’ve been to my school a few times and my coach says they’ve told him they really like my film. My head coach’s brother, Coach Meekins, works there so I know they have interest in me. An offer from Texas would be amazing. It would be big for me being an in-state guy and to get that offer would be great for my recruitment.”

Rivals Reaction: Gipson is an electric athlete who wowed with his arm strength at the True 19 game and has done same when he’s on the field on Friday nights. He looks like he could be a college quarterback but will surely be recruited at other positions as well. He’s a player to watch going forward, both for Longhorns fans and others.
