Texas AM gets Oklahoma receiver

Wide receiver Kenny Brown of Oklahoma City (Okla.) Putnam City North apparently has found the right time to jump on one of his Big 12 offers and it appears he's headed South.
The offers in hand were from Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas State, and Texas A&M with teams such as Notre Dame and Texas Tech showing interest. However it was a trip to A&M this month that really gave him the confidence to make his decision now.

"Yes he did commit to Texas A&M this morning," Brown's father, Kenny Brown Sr. said. "He had made his trip down there. He loved the atmosphere but when he found out about the great academic program, he was really hooked on it. After sitting down with his mom and me, he felt it was the best for him."
One thing that is big for a father is to see his son make his college decision with so many options on his plate and head to college.
"I'm very proud of him," Brown said about Kenny. "I also told him it's the chance of a lifetime so needs to appreciate it. He needs to think about what's going to benefit him and we have our own preferences, but he also needs to make his own decision. We know he did that."
As far as how solid Brown is, it appears that his father thinks that his son has eyes for only one school.
"He just called me this morning from school, so we really didn't have time to talk about all that yet" he said. "He's happy with his decision, so I doubt he'll be looking around any more."
