The Latest: When most recruiting fans thing of wide receivers from Amite High School in Louisiana, they immediately think of 2017 Rivals100 prospect Devonta Smith. But another Devonta at the school has been adding major offers as of late, Class of 2019 wide receiver Devonta Lee. Thus far Lee has added offers from the likes of Arkansas, Miami, Tennessee and Texas A&M and said the Aggies are a school that definitely has his interest. Rivals.com caught up with Lee to get the latest on his recruitment, including his thoughts on Texas A&M.

In His Words: "I’ve been looking a lot at Texas A&M and watching some of their old games on YouTube. I really like their offense. They throw the ball a lot. I haven’t had a chance to get to campus yet. I want to get over there soon. I’ve been trying to get it in before my season starts. They got a chance to see more work out at Tulane’s camp so they just wand me to come out and take a visit and see campus. I like the spread and the way they throw a lot of deep balls. They have good wide receivers there. They have a quarterback who throws the ball around and those are all things that I like."

Rivals Reaction: Lee figures to be the next star out of the Amite program and he may hit double-digit offers before his high school career is even halfway over. Next up on his visit docket is a trip to Alabama to camp, where he also hopes to earn an offer. In a recruitment that will likely see a lot of twists and turns, it wouldn't hurt Texas A&M to get him on campus and show what they have to offer early in the process.
