Terry gearing up for playoffs

Darrius Terry out of Lufkin, Texas just helped his team finish out a dominant regular season in which the Panthers finished 9-1 as district champions. As he begins to focus on his first round opponent in the state playoffs, Terry took a look back at the season to date.
"The season's going good," Terry said. "We just had a game Saturday. We played Conroe for the district championship and won 37-9. We've got Klein Forest in the first round of the playoffs. We've been working hard every day and practicing hard."

Terry has been a big part of his team's success, particularly on the defensive side of the ball but he and his teammates are trying not to look too far ahead.
"I've been playing good," he said. "I've been playing corner and safety and I've got five interceptions. We're always thinking about going to state but we gotta take it one game at a time."
Over the course of his season, Terry has taken a few opportunities to visit schools and he is beginning to think through his college choices.
"Louisiana Tech, UL-Monroe, UL-Lafayette, schools like that are talking to me a lot," he said. "I went to an A&M game when they played Oklahoma State. I gotta go take some visits to see who I like. I'm going to try to see what I want when I take a visit."
Terry is a big fan of LSU and Missouri but to date, his only offer is from Tulsa.
Terry is a three-star prospect and rated as the number 23 cornerback in the country.
